There's going to be a growing trend of fired nurses / other healthcare workers that refused to be fully vaccinated that will just move into the caregiver industry because it's not as regulated plus the nurse can easily lie to say he/she is vaccinated when the homeowner / family of the elderly patient ask the caregiver about their vaccination status. We should start hearing more stories about Covid infections from caregivers after the vaccine mandates spread across the country. These types of caregivers (former not vaccinated nurses/healthcare workers) infecting elderly clients or infecting disable clients home-bound because of an underlying medical condition. This reminds me of law enforcement that would charge people with assault if someone spits on them or infects them with a deadly illness...similar to people being arrested/convicted that had unprotected sex while knowing they were HIV positive. wrbtrader
Well here in Colombia we had our one day a week cleaner show us her vaccination card and paid her for the day she felt too ill to work after the Moderna. She is a little afraid of the 2nd shot due to risk of lost income but we made it clear, if she is ill we will pay her anyway. Colombia does a 3 month gap between shots. I expect losing wages is a big driver. I can tell you that had my aunt died, criminal manslaughter charges would have been sought. The carer is part private, part state subsidised so she gets paid no matter what. Of course the woman did not mean this to happen, she had been with them three years and is liked but Facebook nonsense infected her.
If the whole family got infected while vaccinated, not sure why u are so upset about the maid not beeing so, she might well have caught and passed covid anyway. And that s IF they really caught covid from her. Such a misery to have to wear a facemask all day to earn hardly enough to live on. Would feel like absolute shit if I required our maid to wear one. She s not vaccinated either btw.
I'll explain it slowly had the carer been vaccinated, she would have been unlikely to develop enough viral levels to pass on covid to my aunt. She contracted it from another unvaccinated fuckhead renting a room in her house. It's unvaccinated morons spreading the virus. BTW the carer is qualified, not a nurse but professionally trained as a carer. She has a good salary. As it was my aunt being vaccinated saved her life very likely, though she did get very ill for four days. Had it not worked and my aunt succombed, the carer would be facing manslaughter charges for real. All because a bunch of morons put ideas in her head. We pay our cleaner here in Colombia well, she has no issues wearing a mask, I offered her a powered n99 mask we use at the hospice (very comfortable all day) but she preferred the surgical. She goes to five homes a week. When she visits, we open all the balcony doors and windows anyway to have air moving. She is not required to wear a mask when we are out which we often are. Now, she brushes her teeth twice a day and changes to a clean mask twice, commute and work, so does not have rotten breath problems like so many others of your class complain about wearing a mask. Something to consider.
Maybe the morons are the one putting in your head she should face manslaughter charges, or more simply yourself. Surprised we don´t read more of "Poison than rob your employer" stories from maids working for people like you. You didn´t even write anywhere she was required to be waxxed to work in that house, which makes your arguments all the more confusing.
Doesn´t look particularly smart from the carer to go and get vaccinated just after recovering from covid, she´d probably be better off not listening to the BS people like you feed her. Again, the legal requirements for carers during covid are lacking from your post, so those might change the situation - Ireland has indeed gone overboard in insanity and lockdowns during those covid testing times.
It's because they want lemmings. They don't even care that natural immunity is 13 times more effective than the vaccine.
She is a professional geriatric carer, in Ireland. She has been doing the job three years. The reality is my cousin never thought this woman would be so careless. I'm sure she probably was required as she was provided via an agency who worked for the government. But, they know her well as a person and her apologies for being such an idiot have seemed very sincere. She has been lucky. In Ireland she would have been facing manslaughter charges had it played out with the death of my aunt. My family are all very successful, professional and serious people. Now in time I'd warrant she probably would get off the charge but it would be years of her life later. My aunt was working voluntarily 20 hours a week until 84 teaching kids with dyslexia which is was an expert in. She is a lovely person and I assure you as a volunteer hospice helper myself, every way we die has issues but drowning for days and weeks is not one of the good ways to go. Facebook networking utter idiots did this.
