it's pretty pathetic. With so many good things to bitch about, OP wants to bitch about people getting free food

that's about as low as it goes if you don't want people to have free food

Piss off. I work hard and pay for my food. No one is saying they want people to starve, but there is a vast chasm between people starving (in this country) vs. where we are today with SNAP.

If people directly choose not to work and would rather sit on the couch all day, do drugs, drink, whatever, and not look for work (like you), then why in God's creation should I pay for that??

Today's hint - the food is not free if others are bring forced to pay for it.

The food stamp program is not a food bank situation where others voluntarily give free food to feed families.

ok, if you say so....the world would be a better place with no food stamps...then why did they ever invent them in the first place?

They were intended as support for people who fell on bad times as a temporary assist to the family budget, not as a permanent addition to their income.

no kidding, the food stamp requirements are pretty stringent. You can't have any money in the bank, and must have very low income. In years past that was just a phase young families might be going through until they got back on their feet. Now for too many it is probably the way they will live their whole life.

If New York raises the min wage to $15 all those workers will fall off the food stamp role..and out where I live, if a food stamp recepient could land a $15/hr job that would be like winning the lottery.
