Everyone knows that welfare queens keep their cash in a trunk. The trunk of their Cadillac.

food is so plentiful. we pay farmers not to grow it. For most of us, food is the least consequential thing in our budget. I could walk out of the grocery store and give a poor person half the cart and I would never miss it. There's probably enough food in my pantry and freezer to last me a year. At one time, if a man didn't work he didn't eat. All these years and we haven't progressed beyond that? I mean couldn't it be, if you don't work you don't get to buy new things, but at least you still get to eat. And once I feed the world, I also want to clothe and shelter it. That's not much, but it should be enough of an accomplishment for a baby boom generation.

You're a commie. Die commie, die!
    : )

(We have been subsidizing farmers to grow all they can, esp. corn, for quite some time now. Which is one reason why you find food to be such a small part of your budget.)

I really am a commie when it comes to the basics of life. Food, clothing and shelter. And after that a total free market capitalist libertarian.

I was not, but that program is different. That program is not paying farmers to cut production in order to prop up a given commodity's price.

yes, that is exactly what it is. It was sold as "set aside" land. You never seen a farmer so confused than when they told my uncle they were going to pay him for setting aside 40 acres.

The law is really just a mosaic of special interests. One such patch-work is the farming lobby. We've got lots of that up here in Canada. Dairy licencing, poultry licencing, the wheat board of canada ( artificially restrict supply). It's all bullshit. Just a handout to farmers courtesy of the taxpayer. My dads friend sold his dairy quota = 40 million dollars. The Saputo family is one of Canadas richest familys. For what? They own a shitload of dairy quotas, and sell cheese. That's Canada for you.

Americans have no excuse. Unless they're elderly or disabled, every person should be working. The jobs are there. Americans are simply lazy and think they're 'above' manual labor. The states and feds are responsible too, for playing enabler to the lazy fucks. Which they do through 99 month UE benefits, snap, ebt .
