Marriage, just don't

  1. Ladies do not exist anymore, if they did marriage might still be a viable option. As it stands it is probably the biggest mistake men could make theses days.

This was really good, bravo. I remember watching classic movies of the 30-60s and how different women were compared to nowadays. This is where I disagree with T_Geithner; women don't adapt to their environment: their preferred environment is what we have today.

Notice how every society that is male dominated, from US pre-1965, Hispanic societies, even Muslim societies (though they go too far) are all family oriented, socially conservative. Societies were women dominate the culture, US today, Europe (esp. Sweden et al), to some extent Asia, are all de facto socially liberal. Women fought and keep fighting for today's culture. For me, just enjoy it, have fun and only get married if the gal is truly marriage quality.

  4. Perhaps the man gets the woman he deserves. Assholes marry assholes etc. Although I do wonder that US has tied itself up in feminism and the ladies have you by the balls. Legislation and too many pressure groups combined with gutless men at the top (pussy whipped, I think it's called) make for a pretty raw deal for your young male. However, it's a country of extremes and ultimately perhaps men and women are the same as they have always been underneath. I'd rather villify lawers and their tribe.

Watched part of a documentary show last night about young guys who are labelled as sex offenders for having consensual sex with their teenage girlfriends when they were in high school. I mean stuff like he was 17 and she was 15. Really sad. For them it's almost impossible to get any kind of job, are restricted in who they can be around, can't be within 500 ft of a school or bus stop, etc. One of them said they had a police officer going around his neighborhood handing out flyers about him... to let everyone know there's a dangerous predator living near them. It's unbelievable how these kids are being punished even years later.

at what age is some labeled a "sex offender" if the consenting (or non-consenting) party are under legal age? I thought it would be 18. I have a couple of girls at the jr. high I teach at who are pregnant by their 15 & 16 year old boyfriends, are these guys labeled "sex offenders"? That seems a bit harsh to me...

the age of consent varies between the states.

It's an interesting paradox. if everybody thinks your way there would be no marriages.
