Watch as our hero, with the help of jem and family members, moves the goal posts from "no way" you can catch it by walking or biking; to just biking:

Watch as our hero, again with the help of jem and family members, moves the goal posts ONCE AGAIN from 'can't get it by biking' to 'there's a small chance you can get it outdoors':

You do realize that contact tracing has been place in the U.S. for over a hundred years.
Every single county has a public health department that performs contact tracing for disease outbreaks such as TB. This system worked very successfully in recent decades until COVID overwhelmed it. For example, our local public health department in Durham, NC had five employees who performed contact tracing. They successfully contact traced TB outbreaks centered around Northern High School in 2017 and again in February 2020. However with COVID the county health department was overwhelmed by May of 2020 and ceased being able to fully contact trace COVID.

I said worldwide. But let's just cut to the chase. Do you disagree that covid is worse than the normal flu?:

Coronavirus Disease 2019 vs. the Flu
    https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/hea...ronavirus/coronavirus-disease-2019-vs-the-flu

    "...
    Coronavirus vs. Flu Deaths
COVID-19: There have been approximately 3,111,247 deaths reported worldwide. In the U.S, 572,200 people have died of COVID-19 between January 2020 and April 26, 2021.*

Flu: The World Health Organization estimates that 290,000 to 650,000 people die of flu-related causes every year worldwide.

The COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly. Since this disease is caused by a new virus, the vast majority of people do not yet have immunity to it, and a vaccine may be many months away. Doctors and scientists are working to estimate the mortality rate of COVID-19, but at present, it is thought to be substantially higher (possibly 10 times or more) than that of most strains of the flu.

But since Influenza virus had become so routine, nobody thought to use the same metrics to measure it, and did not track it's mortality rate to the same level of this novel Coronavirus.

    Apples and oranges.
