I have a doubt about movin averages in the graphics of futures. For trading intraday, at which graphic do you look at? ¿to the graphic of future continuos or to the graphic of this expiration..?

If I take a SMA200 or EMA200, if I look at the graphic of the actual contract I will not have many data, but if the moving average is smaller, at which graphic I have to look?

I don´t know it is useful only the futures continuos for an analysis general but for intraday the graphic of the actual contract is more important than the other.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Does anybody have an opinion about it ..?

  3. I apologize in advance if I have not understood your questions correctly.

I prefer continuous contracts for Daily research, and the current contract for intraday.

If I'm backtesting strategies, I always use continuous contracts for both. For me, the more data, the better.
