MSTR -- To get out or not...

I dont think it was MSTR that got hacked tho. I think it was a hacker using MSTR's "name and likeness" if you will to trick people and scam them.

Basically - while this scam using MSTR's name is not great, its not a threat to MSTR directly

Ok, after digging deeper, it turns out it was indeed MSTR, but the funds were not theirs that got stolen. Looks like it was MSTR's X account that got hacked. Then you can guess what happened from there.

To be honest though, its kind of sad that a software company can't go to enough trouble to properly lock down their account. This has happened to many prominent accounts, so maybe there is a weakness given that multiple people probably have access to post under that one account, but its still sad. I'm not surprised when some 70 year old gets hacked, but a major company holding 190k bitoins getting their X account hacked is a bit worrisome.

And to think that Elon suggests getting rid of his phone number and using the X app for all communication. What an idiot. Once you get locked out, you essentially no longer exist.

 

In his case that would be a good thing.
