Seems to me that Elon is looking at Twitter as just another "pet project" or something.

  2. Twitter is a communications platform, it was an intro to globalization like facebook. The problem is that even a 5 year old knows how to make a website

Looks like 2018 & 2019 were anomalies. Maybe the Orange Man helped with more outrage.

TWTR is up 3% since the close of the IPO in 2013. 3% in 9 years. Simply amazing.

I don't use Twitter, but it's definitely much bigger than its stock valuation. Twitter is a slice of established media and the only instant comms loop to the world (at least the US). Not negligeable.
Elon could yank it out of the stockmarket, privatize it, fire anyone not on board with his plans, make all the changes he wants, then re-emerge just like he wants it. I think that's what happened with Tesla and worked out pretty well.

Not sure why he wants to do that, to offer to pay more than how much a company's worth by the general consensus. Perhaps a tax maneuver to save some taxes by incurring some capital losses? LOL

He mentioned in the interview yesterday having "3,000 shareholders - or whatever the maximum is allowed". That sounds like some kind of semi-private entity.

You have more and more public figures and people with means watching the lopsided media and becoming concerned to the point of wanting to acheive more balance. The latest incident is a prime example. As soon as we learned the NY subway shooter was a black guy with a long history of racist social media posts, some networks immediately went back to covering other stories. If he had been a white guy with the same history, everyone knows the coverage would have been very different. But the point is - that many of those viewers were only given part of the story because the media has grown to the point where they are working a narrative instead of handing us the facts.

Personally, I think it's very productive use of private funds of the well off - to try and make the world a better place by being truthful and transparent to the public.

I think that video misrepresents reality. Twitter employees are no where near as physically attractive as that woman.
