Although you may see those who support Trump, but are critical of him as being disrespectful, it really indicates that person is being honest and thinks for themselves. There is a crtical point here. There is no changing of a mind that has already made their decision who they are going to vote for. The difference makers in this election will be those independent people who weigh all the facts and make then a decision. These independent persons tend to be principled and smart. Right now, it seems they may see a choice based on who is likely to do the least amount of damage in the next four years. The candidate that displays the most leadership probably wins, although relative honesty is important, if not critical. Trump has a significant edge over Joe in leadership. Of course, if Trump shoots himself in the foot while the violence subsides, Joe will have a shot. There will likely be the “Surprises” such as a scandal or psuedo scandal that happens every election cycle to add a liitle spice. Kamala could capture the imagination of some voters depending on her debate performance versus Pence. However, the continued backdrop of Leftist led violence will likely diminish that. In my mind, Trump supporters should always be honest, humble, respectful, be willing to listen, show initiative, be hard working, and show integrity in order to give Trump and our movement the representation it deserves. In list form: 1. By honest, I mean do not post, do, or say anthing with the intent to deceive. Our ideas should be able to stand on their own. If our ideas do not stand on their own, then we need to get new ideas. 2. By humble, I mean admitting when we are wrong. 3. By respectful, I mean not just reading or hearing what people are saying, rather thinking about what they wrote and making the effort to actually listen to what they are saying. Remember, that person is telling you how they see reality. Whether they are a friend or opponent, this is valuable infomation. 4. By showing initiative, I mean if there is a issue that is unaddressed, take it on. 5. By hard working, I mean take extra time to do a little research before posting on a substantial subject. 6. By integrity, I mean calling out the actions of our own that harm our movement. Being constructively critical of Trump helps our movement in the long run because we gain credibility and who knows, maybe our voice of reason will go beyond the “Confines” of Elitetrader. Our actions can help or hinder our cause. There have been too many “Feel good” or revenge posts by supposed Trump supporters. Too many claims have been made without support. These actions hurt our credibility and do nothing to advance our movement. At best, it is a waste of time. Always support your major statements. Whether it is established fact or sound reasoning, include it with your posts. Ask yourself what you want the reader to do after reading your post. If you do this, it will cut down on some of the counterproductive posts lately.
