Now I know why righties are so deluded about global warming

  1. Yeah. I must admit, that's some pretty bad English there. I shouldn't write before coffee.

Though scientists may or may not be influenced by potential grants, I wasn't talking about the scientists. Perhaps I should have explained that more thoroughly. My concerns are what is done with their conclusions, and how that knowledge is used, or misused.

The amount of money that is now going into AGW is tremendous. Such money will inevitably corrupt some officials who distribute this money to climate cause, and the recipients of this money, (who may or may not use it for it's intended purposes). Too many times our own gov misuses the money we provide through taxes. Surely you don't believe otherwise. If I'm reading some articles correctly, we are sending billions overseas to help other countries fight AGW.

Like I said, if you trust governments, including those in authoritarian societies, and bodies like the UN, no prob. I don't trust any of them, and it's my tax dollars going overseas. For as much effort as you put into the debate, you should consider the potential for fraud and abuse. It's your tax dollars, too.

Regarding the scientists; I think the majority have honest intent, providing they are not being intentionally pressured by those with the purse strings in order to validate other possible agendas (agendas such as power, control, and yes, profit).

It is about time the UN and world leaders took the polution, climate warming etc. much more seriously before we poison ourselves in the race to make a buck.
Did you know that 1 in every 5 seals in San Fran Bay have serious cancer problems ? The fish and corals etc. are are being killed because Cali money meanies won't spend the dosh to clean up their own filth.
    Shame on them and others.

we should be spending some of the billions going to climate fraud nutters on the ocean and clean fresh water. Water is going to be the real issue. not co2 causing warming. if we are going to add a few billion people we will probably need more co2 to help food production. the problem is co2 might causing cooling.

how many times do I have to tell you greenhouse gases also cool the planet. saying co2 is a greenhouse gas does not tell us a thing about whether adding more of it creates warming.

its the warming of the oceans which release the CO2.
the tides and the sun are what warms the oceans as far as science knows at the moment.

That weatherman cites to real science. That is why it is the most read global warming site in the world.

NASA called bullshit on your statement about math and the radiation budget... and that weatherman linked to the story today. So you were wrong again.

NASA revises Earth’s Radiation Budget, diminishing some of Trenberth’s claims in the process

have you noticed what happened after the real nasa scientists and astronauts wrote the letter condemning the agw nutter crap...

NASA got rid of Hansen and has now posted quite a few studies which call bullshit and the co2 only causes the warming thesis.

NASA is turning back to real science.

    NASA has told us

    co2 causes cooling
more co2 would cause more plants which would cause more cooling
and now we learning the radiation budget was wrong.

NASA is getting back to real science.
