Going back to the subject, OANDA recently had 15 pip spreads for USD/CAD and AUD/USD. They did it this morning just 20 seconds before the CPI data from Australia. The spread suddenly went from 2 to 15 and stayed there for several minutes. I can't think why OANDA has so many fans and I'm glad they're getting slagged off in this thread. Definitely direct access and futures are the way to go.
Spread increases on the news event OMG WHY? read the freaking FAQ!... besides the aud rates increase has been flagged for ages. So the question begs... why didn't you buy last week like the rest of us?
