just bought for the hell of it when it dipped. this is history making when brokers are shutting down trading for a stock that has >100% short .

it would be nice that after SEC intervention they agree on a buyout like around $2000/share or something lol

It's a short squeeze. Neither the first, nor the last.

If you think that they "were within 30 seconds of all being wiped out" you're smoking some good, legal stuff. It's lies. They have plenty of ca$h on hand, and Uncle Powell to back them if push comes to shove.

Don't be surprised if they get some kind of a bailout from somewhere.

This is looking like 2008 only driven by small cap...actually everything bubble instead of the housing market.

100 million disappointed voters may consider politics of the third kind, hedge funds adjust your algo for traders that put money second. Insanity is a sane reaction to an insane world.

    I day trade various futures.
If there is a major sell-off ( or major buy-off), most likely I wouldn't be able to trade.
My charts and trading platforms will most likely freeze due to heavy traffic.

It happened in Mar / Apr 2020 during the US sessions.
What did I do? Just trade the Asian and European sessions.

I truly believe this is a modern Knickerbocker Crisis...only triggered by a failed short instead of corner.

"The panic was triggered by the failed attempt in October 1907 to corner the market on stock of the United Copper Company. When this bid failed, banks that had lent money to the cornering scheme suffered runs that later spread to affiliated banks and trusts, leading a week later to the downfall of the Knickerbocker Trust Company—New York City's third-largest trust. The collapse of the Knickerbocker spread fear throughout the city's trusts as regional banks withdrew reserves from New York City banks. Panic extended across the nation as vast numbers of people withdrew deposits from their regional banks. It is the 9th largest decline in U.S. stock market history.[3]"
