Ice-ages in the past do not coincide with any particular epochs of precession of the equinoxes or other orbital considerations as theories citing variation of solar flux density imply. They are part of a larger ice/tropical oscillation that has existed for millions of years having, obviously, nothing to do with man and everything to do with long-cycle ocean and atmospheric chemistry, vulcanism and the occasional rock from space.
Actually, yes it works just as I have described. The earth has oscillated between thick ice cover and tropical conditions for millions of years. It has nothing to do with man. A dolt like you needs something to offer purpose to his/her meaningless life. The problem with stupid people, like you, is that they seize upon something nonsensical and become a tool for others to use to enrich themselves. If you had a girl, owned a home or business or otherwise had *any* stake in the game your outlook would change rapidly. Basically people, normal ones that is, just want to make a decent life for their kids. When the warmists begin to seriously threaten that they will find themselves being attacked and marginalized.
Polar bears eating dolphins would be news.... if it wasn't for previous photos from 1965 and 1910 showing the same thing.
what happened to the ice age they were predicting in 1970? easy, man dumped so much co2 into the atmosphere it stopped global cooling in it's tracks. Now the earth is warming, but if we don't all die like they say we will, it will because of govenment mandated reduced auto emmissions. It's a good game, you can't lose.
But you said that it's not orbital changes that cause the ice ages. In fact, it is thought that they have a large influence. I will concede that the reasons you mentioned are also possible factors. Greenhouse gasses play a very large role in the temperature swings via the feedback effect. Without them the temp swings would much smaller. The causes of ice ages are not fully understood for either the large-scale ice age periods or the smaller ebb and flow of glacial–interglacial periods within an ice age. The consensus is that several factors are important: atmospheric composition, such as the concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane (the specific levels of the previously mentioned gases are now able to be seen with the new ice core samples from EPICA Dome C in Antarctica over the past 800,000 years[40] ); changes in the earth's orbit around the Sun known as Milankovitch cycles; the motion oftectonic plates resulting in changes in the relative location and amount of continental and oceanic crust on the earth's surface, which affect wind and ocean currents; variations in solar output; the orbital dynamics of the Earth-Moon system; and the impact of relatively large meteorites, and volcanism including eruptions of supervolcanoes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age#Variations_in_Earth.27s_orbit_.28Milankovitch_cycles.29 And no, all those scientists, virtually all the world's science community, are warning us about an impending catastrophic problem not because they want to threaten the well being or current living standards of "normal people", quite the opposite. They want to insure that our grandchildren don't inherit a severely broken earth.
They were not predicting an ice age. The bulk of the science predicted warming. The ice age thing was picked up by the media because it made better headlines. And we won't all die because of it nor does anyone say we will. They say this will happen and anyone with common sense can guess that this will be bad. Living systems and agriculture don't like changing conditions. People will die in heat waves. Cities will have to spend large amounts of money to combat rising seas. Extreme weather will become more common. Many species will die. Old growth forests will die. There will be lot's of death and destruction.
