Political beliefs can override logic

  1. Yet I seem to make money no matter what fucktard sits in the white house...

real traders and investors don't give a shit about politics, it is just a fun diversion during down time.

Maybe stop idolizing politicians and you can also earn some real money

  4. I reframed from calling Mark "BrownMark" like alot of people who've known him longer have, but it's become apparent he is of pretty poor character and a total whimp. He couldn't win a pillow fight and has poor character, thus his support of another Grub, Trump.

But behind a keyboard he proclaims himself to be "alpha" etc.

  6. Also we have higher self esteem than you...so likes are not currency to fill the void you have in your life. So sad to see a grown man yearning for likes on a forum....

    Dude.....get some help.

I'd like to follow up on my comment, because it's depressing as it offers no positive outlook, no words to raise the American spirit.
First and most important is to question the foundations of the Make America Great Again slogan turned political party. Trump has successfully established that America needed saving, from the woke mind, the trans community, the hords of dangerous illegal brown people, the dangerous Chinese and the disrespect from the international community.
For anyone with a political science background, this reads like a formula from another era. The defeatists, the degenerates, the hord of Jews stealing from the rightful owners, the disrespect from the neighboring countries. Trump didn't point to well studied and agreed upon causes of America's decline; he filled the formula with similarly used ills and pounded on these as dramatically as he is known for, with ridicule and contempt. Because everyone can find even a modicum of something to agree with his rancorour exhortations and laughing with him like kids around a bully somehow make us feel less ashamed, less woke.
Let's snap out of it for a minute. Is there really something wrong with America? and, if so, what must we do to right the ship?

    The Deficit
Many seem to agree that the deficit is dangerously high. This is not the trade deficit that Trump always points to because it blames foreigners, but the budget deficit, the one that requires fiscal discipline and is entirely home made.
Can we expect fiscal discipline from our government when We the People don't have it at home? Americans are the most indebted people in the world. Do we live vicariously, always expecting a better tomorrow, are we addicted to consumption? Yes, to both.
Altering behaviors isn't something America is good at (land of the free, blah, blah) but fiscal discipline demands a fundamental restructuring of our lending policies, accountabilities and penalties. It's not particularly difficult to do, just model something from the rest of the world. What's horrendously difficult is to bridge political party differences because each represent constituents who benefit/depend on the ways thing are.
If we demand of our government to be the adults in the room and lead the way to balance the budget, then $1T in defense spending isn't the right direction, unless we all agree on its implications to a balanced budget. It's the price to pay for fiscal responsibility and clearly not one MAGA wants to tackle.

    Illegal immigration
Whichever section of the political spectrum we belong to and whatever our reasons, we all agree that something must be done to stop the flow of illegal immigration.
MAGA wants a display of power, ICE and military forces at the border. It has the double advantage of instantly stemming the flow of illegal entries and paying thousands of MAGA friendly workers who should remember who to vote for in future elections. Democratic party playbook with unions but costly budgetary line item.
Any plumber will tell you, to stop a leak you first start by shutting the source before repairing the pipe. Central America (except Costa Rica) is a cesspool of poverty and violence, banana republics led by corrupt elites protected by violent police/military forces. We may like it or not, but the US has contributed to this situation in the last 100 years, preventing any democratically elected leaders whose politics the US did not approve of. Communist Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela are enough of a headache to deal with. We like those countries whose names we don't know.
In addition, the US weapons industry has been more than willing to sell their wares to people with money and it just happens that drug dealers have lots of cash they need to launder.
Structurally, to stem the flow of illegal immigration from Central America requires the US to launch a Marshall like plan to stimulate economic development, social and political reforms in these countries, much like Costa Rica has achieved without US support. This, again, is far more complicated than boots on the ground, but ultimately more effective. People who don't need to flee their land for whatever reasons just don't; the US isn't all that pleasant.
The US can also create short term months long labor visas to fill seasonal jobs that no passport carrying American will ever do. We can also significantly increase the numbers of legal immigration from these countries, giving the same hope that our forefathers and mothers were given when they arrived in the US.

    Manufacturing
Why is Trump so intent on bringing manufacturing back to our shores? We know that Musk and others are looking to replace repetitive work with bots. 20-30 years from now the labor landscape will look much different, certainly less labor intensive. Americans buy GM and Ford pickups made with 75% parts made in China and assembled in Mexico or Canada. Do we care? Put in another way, would we buy those with a 50% higher sticker price if entirely made in America? No we wouldn't; because we already don't, that's why everything is made in China!
Trump is making this an issue for one reason and only one: he needs union labor votes to win elections. Unions have historically voted for Democrats but he won their votes on bringing manufacturing back to America.
From my experience, the only manufacturing America can compete on today is small to midsize volume manufacturing of high value added products. Instead of building Harleys in Thailand or India, Harleys should be built in America, in small batches or made to order and shipped globally. They will end up shrinking their size but increase their profit margins.

More later if I have time.
