Thanks, but the entry was really bad, almost 10% less credit than modeled. Entire curve shifted significantly downward because of that, left tail below x. Expecting a cover around -60 (3 loss). I choose a combo from a pool of modeled risk profiles. I don’t adjust the profile post-entry, because the real entry price is usually very close to the modeled one (sometimes even better, as in the MDB trade). A combo is sliced into multiple spreads, first spread has been filled 10 mins before close, but I couldn’t get reasonable fill for remaining ones. In that situation, I had to accept unfavourable price, ending up with an incomplete combo could have been much worse. The only way from this mess would be a rally back up during today’s session, I am going to cover part of the short calls on open.
Yeah, it is confusing. Next time I will adjust the profile to the actual entry price, if significantly different from modeled one. But I hope that there will be no need in the future, I am done with trying to push through multilegged beast in the last 10 minutes. Better to skip the trade when I am too late.
