Religion is a hypothesis.

  1. oh but i can because i have the evidence on my side. i find it hard to believe that people like you cant tell the difference between emotion and evidence.
you are free to challenge anything our scientific knowledge tells us but you must do it with better evidence and not emotional bs. [/B][/QUOTE]

Unless our emotions are trying to tell us something. Here's something to think about. Nature is efficient, very efficient. Science has shown us that. Had natural selection during the evolutionary process gone without some type of outside direction I could argue that human beings would be without emotion, more like an android personality. Would this not be more efficient? Don't our emotions get in the way? Our emotions are given to us for a reason. That reason is to allow us to connect with each other individually, and as part of a greater whole entity which is the universe itself, which as I've already stated is the Creator. Decisions based purely on emotion are as flawed as those decisions made without regard to those emotions. Deny them at your peril.

they do double blind tests in drug trials to eliminate emotion because emotions are not reliable. every infomercial scam on tv has some emotional testimony that sounds genuine. our emotions lead most people to false conclusions especially with religion.

  3. Could emotions now be leading you to false conclusions about theism, science and your current religion of atheism?

  4. You need to lose the connection between the Creator being "God". God implies a personality. God is what is called because its not understood.

Why are your quotes being identified with my screen name, and yours with mine? The last few posts you've made have been that way. It must be the devil.

  8. why do theists insist we make the leap from 'the universe always was" to "god always was and god made the universe"?

i don't get why we need that extra step

does any confident theist care to explain

  10. stu

    stu

In that case may I suggest you look a little further.
You need lose the connection with the Creator.
You cannot define a Creator into existence, and especially by saying it's not understood.
