  3. Loser says to Other Loser......''Just declare victory.''

Trump says ''Dr Oz should declare victory.''

TV doctor Mehmet Oz finds himself in a nip-and-tuck race with wealthy businessman David McCormick in the fight for the Republican Senate nomination in Pennsylvania.
And his highest-profile backer has some words of advice.
"Dr. Oz should declare victory," counseled Trump via a tweet truth on his Truth Social site. "It makes it much harder for them to cheat with the ballots that they 'just happened to find.'"

    Uh, OK.
What Trump's statement makes clear is that he hasn't learned the right (or any) lessons from the 2020 election. (And no, I am not surprised.)
For Trump -- in politics and life -- perception is all that matters.
When you declare bankruptcy, as Trump has done, make sure everyone knows it's a strategic (and smart) move.

When you lose -- whether it's in the 2016 Iowa caucuses or the 2020 general election -- insist that you, in fact, won. Tell everyone you won enough times, and they might start to believe it. (Remember that polls show a clear majority of Republican voters now say that Joe Biden did not win the 2020 election fair and square.)
Oz, at least so far, hasn't taken Trump's advice. "When all the votes are counted, we will win," Oz predicted at a rally on Tuesday night. Which isn't the same thing as declaring victory.

Democrat has a 9 point lead over Oz in the Senate race.

Fetterman leads Oz in Pennsylvania Senate race; governor’s race tight: poll
    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...lvania-senate-race-governors-race-tight-poll/

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D) holds a 9-point lead over his Republican rival, celebrity physician Mehmet Oz, in the Pennsylvania Senate race, according to a new USA Today Network-Suffolk University poll.

The poll shows Fetterman with 46 percent support among likely voters in Pennsylvania, while Oz, whom former President Trump endorsed in April, comes in at 37 percent. Another 13 percent remain undecided in the race, with independents making up a plurality of those voters.

The survey shows Fetterman with an early edge in one of the closest-watched Senate races of the 2022 midterm election cycle and suggests that, at least for now, Democrats have a path to flipping the seat currently held by retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R).

Thanks for bumping this thread, GWB. I had forgotten about this question. Do you have anything yet to show me where I worshipped Trump? It's been a month.

It appears that there is no way in heck that Dr. Oz will win in the November general election based on current polling in PA. He is trying to back away from Trump and pretend that Trump does not even exist -- a strategy which is not helping him so far -- as Oz's popularity continues to sink.

Trump-endorsed Dr. Oz has 'stunning' negative popularity across Pennsylvania: CNN analyst
    https://www.rawstory.com/dr-oz-senate-2657551246/

Even though Republicans are on track for big wins in this fall's midterm elections, it appears that Trump-endorsed Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dr. Oz is struggling to gain traction in his race against Democratic rival John Fetterman.

Breaking down the race on CNN, analyst Michael Smerconish pointed to new polling showing that Oz is deeply unpopular throughout the state.

"President Trump's pollster just did a survey for the AARP in Pennsylvania," he said. "Dr. Oz -- I'm holding it in my hand -- has stunning negatives and they are across the board. 63 percent of all Pennsylvania voters perceive him unfavorably, among republicans it's 38 percent."

Smerconish then noted that Oz has shifted rapidly in his advertisements, as he is no longer mentioning that Trump endorsed him and is instead trying to project a softer image.

That said, Smerconish doesn't believe Oz's attempt at an extreme makeover will be effective.

"The pivot toward the center is a tale as old as time, politically speaking, but there's going to be so much money spent in Pennsylvania," he said. "I don't think that John Fetterman is going to allow Pennsylvania voters for a moment to forget the association between Dr. Oz and Donald Trump."

Oz has faced criticism for moving to Pennsylvania from New Jersey just so he could make a run for the Senate, and even many Trump supporters were furious when he endorsed him earlier this year.
