    I take it you don't know history -- not even recent history.

    Even in the 2010 and 2012 election cycle in North Carolina we had KKK members running at Democrats for office.

    Its not a myth.From slavery,The KKK,Jim Crow,segregation,anti civil rights bill etc the confederate south has always been and continues to be the racist part of the country.

    The democratic party previously represented the confederate south,now the republican party does.

    I know reality quite well.The confederate south is and has always been the the racist part of the country and today they are represented by the republican party.

    Yep.The people of these states who fought a war against the united states to keep human beings as slaves,where The KKK was started and roamed,jim crow,segregation,anti civil rights etc now vote red/the current republican party
