There is (surprisingly ) no official calculation yet, but in the past many experts called b/e price of the similar project around $360/tonne. EU buys NG for $380/tonne and there is no infrastructure to build. Now, the price of contract is secret. Why is that? Because it's too good? Could it be the case with CN, which obviously used the moment of weakness and more so, zugzwang of the partner and is no naive by any means (even compared to Western countries)? Doubt it. Old "cui bono" principle applied to the secret status of the price. Another issue is a number of taxes typical for natural resources export is already claimed to be cancelled for the deal. Which means budget will not receive any profit from the contract... for 30 years. Add the typical RU issues like corruption during the construction of just about anything and especially huge projects like this one and you get the picture. And the last point: CN company receives unprecedented rights on Siberian resources on unprecedented conditions. Basically many call it "sell off of Eastern Siberia to China". To make the long story short: I don't share admiration and enthusiasm of many people on the matter.
