I wake up and my mom tells me Russians are just about to topple the capital. I see the stock markets are all up and happy. Even crypto is up. Everyone's happy about this. I guess the moral of the story is this is all over-blown. So sit back and enjoy life all!
When Putin has bought enough, he will then negotiate for a settlement. Can Ukraine say no settlement ? Once settlement is reached, he will be even richer indeed. So, the market is pricing on a settlement?
Sarcasm aside for a moment, my theory has been that the markets are assuming interest rates can't possibly go up now, especially when sanctions will hurt the west more than it does the east. Since interest rate hikes are expected to be delayed again, stonks must rise (for a while). BTW, when I was a little kid, I remember at every school I used to go to we'd play WWIII with Gi-Joe and run around the play-yards yelling "The Commies are coming! The Commies are coming!" Well... better late than never ehh?
China is unable to provide everything Russia wants. China is already freezing some Russian crude trade because as I understand, even trading with Russia can result in sanctions.
Your recent takes on things are generally stupid if you are being serious about any of this and not just trolling the board. Hikes are coming and the first few priced in with the correction. Markets are mostly about corporate success and profits and you seem to be oblivious to the earnings situation. You even attacked ATH which posted a massive profit in their 3rd quarter. When I saw you were using 2020 data I realized you can't be serious only a pure troll would post that kind of stupidity.
Probably the results will be just the opposite of what you expect. It seems invading your neighboring independent country claiming they rightfully belong to you is no longer being tolerated.
Depends on his goals, my view beeing he wants inflation for the west, doesen't care about Ukraine. I mean if he really wanted to what would stop him, yet he is not even sending in all forces he has at the borders...he doesen't seem committed to it.
