Tell me more then. I am all eyes. Where will the sanctions and cut economic ties to the west lead Russia? How does Russian history inform us of failed Russian invasions and economic catastrophe?

In the current state of affairs, no, Moldova is safe. Was Moldova on the menu, well if we take Putin’s speech and claims of rights over all former Soviet bloc states and the invasion map shared Lukashenko then I’d give it more likely than not a week or so ago. Preponderance of evidence is there and there is no reason to refute it other than “I doubt it.”

FOX News whining about Russia being cancelled... those terrible sanctions. How horrible.

  6. Yep. Except it is worse than that. It is military bureacratic muck. Not sure they would not still be stuck there regardless of the weather/mud. Always nice to have fuel and food with you when you are on the road. Not the Ruskies strong point.

Plus a good portion of their army is more or less happy to be stuck there. Not anxious to engage the "enemy" ie slaughter civilians in Kviev. Stuck in a traffic jam works fine for them. The commanding officers? Well, probably no Christmas bonus for them.

Of course the Howard Stern show was months ahead of the Iraq war and he only said "I guess" when Stern asked him. ---Hardly a ringing endorsement. ---Early in the war he denounced the conflict.
