How many people would die in a NATO-Russia war?

If I was Ukraine, I wouldn't trust US much, even with a treaty.

Russian Central Bank until Sept 9th:

    1. If you have a dollar account in the bank, you can withdraw maximum $10K. The rest you will have to withdraw in rubles.

    2. You cannot withdraw in any currency other than dollars.

    3. You cannot buy foreign currency.

You're right, ruble is effectively dead.

Clearly, Putin has given up on his original objective and has issued, whether spoken, written or neither, an ultimatum: either Surrender or I will lay waste to Kyiv as I did to Allepo, the Capital of Syria's Allepo governate, and before that to the Chechen Capital of Grozny. But that was then. And he was killing Muslims and their children. This is now. And he is killing his countrymen and their children. How many Russian solders returned home in body bags then? How many will return in body bags now?

Ukrainians intercept lots of Russian soldiers' calls home - because they have no way to do it other than on insecure lines. Then they post dozens of them on Telegram. They range from tearful hatred of war to boasting about killing civilians to describing what they looted so far and intend to bring home when they return.

Listened to one yesterday. He describes that out of his company of 150, 20 made it out of the day's events. That's one isolated incident, one day.

Ukrainians' estimate of 11,000 Russian soldiers dead seems not far from truth. Add to that the fact that Ukrainians managed to kill 3 Russian one-star generals. In Russians' previous military adventures, the ratio of general-to-total deaths was around 1:5000.

Thank you so much for giving us details that are inaccessible to non Russian speakers. I hope that the senseless killing will soon stop. I have little faith that it will.

Starbucks,Coke,Pepsi and McDonalds suspending operations in Russia.

Here's a sanction Russian citizens will feel immediately ... all Starbucks and McDonald's restaurants are shutting down there in protest of Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Starbucks has about 130 locations in Russia and Ukraine and employs about 2,000 people. CEO Kevin Johnson says Starbucks will provide support for the workers, but all shipments of products will cease ... and all the branches are temporarily closing.

The McDonald's hit will be even bigger ... there are nearly 850 restaurants closing down, and they employ 62,000 Russians.
