  2. Yep. As I referred to in my post.

The snakes of the world are re-aligning. As is the nature of snakes it just gets snakey someplace else in different ways as they re-snake.

Russia puts it up the arse of the west. The price paid is that Russia takes it up the arse from China.

China feels peppy because it has cut a low cost oil deal with Russia to buy their supply that is available due to sanctions. Guess who else just did that. India the Snake. And guess who is having tinderbox border situation with China where they fight frequently. Yup. That's right. Snakes China and India.

Meanwhile, snake Venezuela is looking at Russia and thinking "but...but..but...having you snakes buy out sanctioned oil is the only market we have now Russia is offering them all a blue light special. Enter, Snake U.S.A.

It's hard to complain about China & India buying oil when most European NATO countries are still buying oil & gas from Russia.

  4. Wasn't complaining there. Was just saying China got a good deal from Russia but then it turns out they gave the same good deal to India which is involved in a border conflict/war with China. Snakey or is it Snaky? The theme is that the snakes just re-snake.

Saudis not even speaking to the US so that might be "non-snaking" or fore-snaking.

  5. Anchorage airport already been growing at a major pace since the end of the cold war because Asian economies have grown bigtime since then and it is a big refueling hub. It is more cost effective for planes to load up on the cargo but refuel once rather than carry a fully-oaded fuel tank. Anchorage wins there.

It's the 4th largest cargo airhub in the world. Passenger load, not so much.

Recent supply chain issues have gotten them a pile of business too where some - limited types of cargo- still lend themselves to air transport.

Australia launches legal action against Russia over MH17

By David Crowe Updated March 14, 2022

Australia has launched legal action against Russia over the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in Ukrainian airspace eight years ago, an attack that left 298 people dead.

The legal move is a sharp escalation that confronts the Russian state, rather than individual perpetrators, over the deaths.

The move joins Australia and the Netherlands in formal proceedings against the Russian Federation in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in a bid to force a negotiation over compensation payments to the families of the victims.....

    PARIS/WASHINGTON --

U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan raised concerns Monday about Chinese cooperation with the Russian invasion of Ukraine in a seven-hour meeting with China's top diplomat, Yang Jiechi.

Sullivan met with Yang, a Politburo member, in Rome following reports by multiple media outlets that Russia has asked China for military equipment and for additional economic assistance to counteract the sanctions.

"I'm just going to reiterate that we do have deep concerns about China's alignment with Russia at this time, and the national security adviser was direct about those concerns and the potential implications and consequences of certain actions," a senior administration official told reporters in the U.S. capital.

Sullivan "raised a range of issues in U.S.-China relations, with substantial discussion of Russia's war against Ukraine," the White House said in a readout. "They also underscored the importance of maintaining open lines of communication between the United States and China."

Beijing has avoided publicly calling out Moscow over the invasion, aiming to protect their friendship.

Without clearly denying this, Beijing has bristled at the reports that Russia had requested help. "Recently, the U.S. has been maliciously spreading disinformation targeting China," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said Monday.

"China's position on the Ukraine issue is consistent and clear," he said. "We have been playing a constructive part in promoting peace talks. The top priority at the moment is for all parties to exercise restraint, cool the situation down instead of adding fuel to the fire, and work for diplomatic settlement rather than further escalate the situation."

But American officials have reportedly told NATO allies and several Asian countries that China had signaled a willingness to provide military and economic aid.

Sullivan and Yang met in October to lay the groundwork for the virtual summit between U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping the following month.

The Russians have consistently denied involvement and it went into the too hard basket.
Now with Russians blatant war attrocities in Ukraine, I think this may aid their case.
