As John "Jackie" Fisher who modernised the Royal Navy fleet and who they say stradded genius and insanity put it "If a man throws a glass of wine in your face do not throw a glass of wine back, throw the decanter". Time to be hard with thugs.
As I posted initially, Liz Truss has the best chance of becoming next PM in the UK, what did you say? Where is he now that other fella and others? Rishi is in the lead but he won’t win the race. Similarly, I am right on the Russia v Ukraine/NATO conflict. Your arguments are based on Western propaganda, whereas I dig for info and don’t trust mainstream media. If you are that easily manipulated by media then I’d hate to think what your trading record must be like. Bunch of FOMOs likely.
Rolling back to clock to the good ole' days of Stalin... In occupied south Ukraine, some fear a return to Soviet times under Russia https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...-return-soviet-times-under-russia-2022-07-21/
Master Pu, propaganda now is everywhere, just like it must be everywhere in a time of war. Propaganda is a good weapon and everybody is using it as they must. Almost all people on this board are subject to eating up Western propaganda and agree enthusiastically. On the other hand, you are Russian propaganda itself.
I almost gave you a like. If taking a stance is same as being a propagandist, then perhaps, but I don’t agree with the way you link two together as being the same.
Propaganda is being used by both sides. There is a big difference between Ukrainian and Russian propaganda however. The Ukrainian propaganda used media to outline their successes, talk about Russian military issues (desertions, alcohol, etc.), outline war crimes, Russian losses of men & equipment, etc. -- all done with a core basis of factual information. The Ukrainian information does not talk about their own losses, logistics & staffing issue, losses, etc. Ukraine promotes their "wins" and hides their "losses" - but the information they use is believable and well presented. The Russian propaganda is nonfactual and twisted to the point where it is not believable by rational people. The Ukraine is led by Nazis (despite its Jewish president), "bio-weapon labs", etc. etc. --- the Russian propaganda in this conflict ranks as some of the most insane stuff seen in recent history. Sadly over 80% of the population back in Russia believe the nonsense pushed by the Kremlin since they don't really have alternative sources of real information about the war -- and anyone who speaks up against Putin's policy is arrested and put away in prison for years.
I hope Liz Truss wins. She is just as (or more, if that is possible) pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian as Boris.
