  7. Yes, I agree. You could certainly say that in comparison right now, America's economy is no joke. The United States is in a very serious financial situation right now that is likely to lead to an economic collapse.

    I think employers prefer the H1-B's because they are captives. The employers sponsor them in some citizenship fashion, if the worker quits, he /she can't just go get another job. To me they are scabs elbowing Americans out of plum jobs..

    AIG was a pioneer in replacing Americans with H-1bs from India
