Shouldn't OTM call expire close to zero?

  1. Do you actively trade options....if so, create a trading journal here documenting each trade: time/date, entry/exit price, % gain/loss, and overall account growth/decline

The power of writing and reflection can be a profound thing, if properly digested and absorbed by the mind

Yeah, great idea, do what LWM says... upload all your source code too and whatever other proprietary info you have lying around. Just like I did in my journal!

    Smart move

Oh yeah. Tesla was added on a Friday (Dec 2020) but it was during market hours as I recall.

You shouldn't feel that way. Thats one of the purposes of this forum, to learn about these things. I am sure a lot of people don't understand the intricacies of exercise cutoff times.

Were they naked short calls? How many? That could have turned out badly for you.

  7. Yeah, thanks for the Telex.

He didn't know why they were bid to 14.5 OTM. Obv you have to assume some potential event. These do not expire to cash. You see an OTM SN call going off at 4% premium then you need to perform some DD.

Yeah I get what happened. I'm surprised his broker let him open it in first place and didn't close it when the bids started coming in...
