Pablo Escobar is a perfect example of how government policies that shouldn't exist(a.k.a. Socialism) have monstrous effects. What made Pablo Escobar's rise to the top and gain all that power was the "war on drugs" from the U.S. Had drug criminalization never been put to law, nobody would know who Pablo Escobar is. Just as nobody hears from a "new Al Capone" since alcohol prohibition in the 20's. But we do hear from El Chapo and other drug Cartels that still kill people "Pablo Escobar style".

You should read a little before vomiting your crap here... Milton Friedman, Hayek, Ayn Rand... And all the people I already mentioned defended Rule of Law with Capitalism. Which is exactly to avoid "the strongest by force" and estimulate "the strongest by efficiency and better prices in a free market competition".

  2. Where do I live baby, I came back from holiday in San Andres :) Escobar's brother is a 10 minute journey from me. Escobar exploited an opening in the market as a pure capitalist, Rand would have loved him*.

Friedman died a long time back. Had he still lived somehow, in 2018 he would be singing a different tale.

Pulling quotes from relative economic history like you do.. things change. You may like Walter Block, at least he is still alive and did not miss the last 50 years.

*Still surprised me that she though a bunch of clinical psychopaths, sociopaths, rapists and mass murders would decide to club together to make a perfect society. But Atlas Shrugged was a product of a disturbed woman's imagination, she can have any result in her head.

Evil controlling people (be they Socialist, Communist, Crony Corporatist, Dictatorship of any flavor) have always, and always will be, around.

Because much of ignorant humanity innately want a free lunch. Some are here it seems. On of all places a trading forum.

And due to the lack of logic, as expected, the evasion from my arguments begins...:D
That's the second time your own bullshit argument turns against you(so others will know, the other was when you posted a chart showing the increase in school shootings since 1990 and I pointed out that that was exactly the date that "Gun Free Zones" were put to practice here https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...-florida-shooting.318516/page-11#post-4612511).

I'm still waiting for the answer to how you plan to make criminals/murders/lunatics obey gun laws and now we add the present one to your list of lost arguments.

Whenever you're up to the challenge of answering these, I'll be here... Until then, you can come with any kind of your usual bullshit, I don't give a damn.

    ;)

  5. You have been reported for trolling out of the politics thread a few times I'm sure, that discussion was a politics thread matter so while you are flawed (correlation/causation) it is not appropriate to re-hash this in an economics thread.

You have to ponder that reason enlightens only the ignorant, Slartibartfast. Not the stupid. The stupid will believe in capitalism or communism, the same way they believed that earth was a giant DVD floating on a sea of fire populated by demons and evil spirits. The stupid believe you can build and own a 5,000 km wall between Mexico and the USA and have others pay for it. The stupid will believe they are some kind of superior beings with a destiny to dominate the world, if not the universe. The stupid will believe that a Martingale system can be profitable in the long term. The stupid believe in themselves, not in logic and reason. They believe in their own perception of the world, not the reality they can't perceive.

Someone said (I think it was Einstein) that only ignorance can be cured. Stupidity is permanent. And hereditary.

Currently there is a documentary about some guys trying to find Pablo Escobar's millions.
It looks like someone has visited his properties already. There are drill holes in the walls etc.

No problem. You can answer it in the other thread, if you are ever able to do it. Even though I obviously doubt it, otherwise you would have answered by now...:D
And you are, as always, still evading my arguments on this thread about the current subject. Not surprisingly...:)
We'll simply add to your list of lost arguments. No problem. You and your socialist friends are simply a blast... It is always a pleasure to see you embarass yourselves and get tangled up in your own bullshit and contradictions.;)

    Keep it up!:D

I completely agree with everything you just said. And as you fit the perfect definition of stupid(no offense, I'm simply using your own definition of stupid...:) Which is the case, since you're a socialist who believes in something that has been proven again and again not to work in the USSR, North Korea, China, Venezuela, etc, etc... ), you should take your own words in consideration and observe how paradoxical it is for someone to say what you just said and still believe this crap.;)
