Nice "Fox Fact". Ie, deceptive lies for right wing morons. There are more killings from guns then all other methods of killing combined.
FBI HOMICIDE DATA: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/uc...s.-2011/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-8 Gun Homicides (includes all guns): 8,583 Knife Homicides: 1,587 Hands, Punches and Kicks: 728 Blunt objects: 496
Thank you for doing FC's work for him! But Lucrum's facts are not refuted in that pic. AR-15 killings were a lot less than pistols. Yet all the focus on banning them.
I though everyone with an ounce of common sense knew it already. Of course that leaves out the deluded righties. Sorry.
Gun crime in the United States has plunged, but Americans think it's up, says study Los Angeles Times May 07, 2013|By Emily Alpert Gun crime has plunged in the United States since its peak in the middle of the 1990s, including gun killings, assaults, robberies and other crimes, two new studies of government data show. Yet few Americans are aware of the dramatic drop, and more than half believe gun crime has risen, according to a newly released survey by the Pew Research Center. In less than two decades, the gun murder rate has been nearly cut in half. Other gun crimes fell even more sharply, paralleling a broader drop in violent crimes committed with or without guns. Violent crime dropped steeply during the 1990s and has fallen less dramatically since the turn of the millennium. The number of gun killings dropped 39% between 1993 and 2011, the Bureau of Justice Statistics reported in a separate report released Tuesday. Gun crimes that werenât fatal fell by 69%. http://articles.latimes.com/2013/may/07/nation/la-na-nn-gun-crimes-pew-report-20130507
Trying to get you to back up all your statements on this forum with some facts. I notice you ignore those requests most of the time. You called Lucrum's post "lies". Yet nothing in that picture is a lie.
There's the common mistake. One assumes that if guns aren't available all those homicides wouldn't have happened. Or if all those people didn't have guns they wouldn't have committed suicide. How far do you go? If ATVs are outlawed there wouldn't be any ATV related deaths. Outlaw trampolines and 200,000 children each year wouldn't show up at the ER. Outlaw alcohol and 2,000 children wouldn't die each year from alcohol poisoning. Ban sporting events so nobody has to die in a human stampedes...etc etc.
