Someone bought $3,400 worth of SHIB last August. It’s now worth $1.55 billion

but that's the problem, there is no tech behind it. They are trying to "IP" their algos, but at the end it's not producing anything except garbage. It's like a "FOR NEXT" loop in programming languages, it's going in circles.

I don't think the tech is here to stay, it's a fad, until a big scandal or regulators wipe it out. China has started that process, and soon everyone else will.

The whole thing is a "vaporware" scam, from design, to trading. If you want to get rich on that, then good luck to you. But you could take bets on horses, and it will be better odds at the end, or even play at the roulette in a LV casino.

Time will tell. Curious why you say that open source, decentralised and encrypted db has no tech. The concept was not invented by satoshi, he was just able to put it all together.

it is a shame how this market is manipulated, and it could be its downfall, but it is not going anywhere.

I do wonder what would happen if that person sells. And whether there are others like him.

satoshi doesn't even exist, it was an invented character for a use case by one of the Australian fraudsters that started BTC (Australia has a known mafia in financial services serving SE Asia)

there has been plenty of opensource decentralized and encrypted tech for the last 20 years, nobody cares anymore, that would have been great in the 90s when things were flexible enough for big changes, but that time has passed and the tech is too narrow and too late IMHO. Nobody cares about decentralized db, it's a non-issue, except for crypto fans of course :p

I am amazed that crypto scam is lasting that long, but again Madoff got away with it for over 40 years, so anything possible :)

we know there is no satoshi as person most likely, that is not the points. Attempts were made before, like egold as I learned. He cracked double spend problem, and BTC was only hacked once, but was fixed and they forked it.
Will BTC ever implode, perhaps. Until then it would be foolish to ignore the whole space. I ignored it long enough, now learning.
