Yes. I found his website and ran iterations of URLs (/content, /trading. etc.) until I saw the raw photo which was 4-6 monitors. It's been over a decade.
Really ? I was convinced it was real. I found the two posts from Maestro where he posted it: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/pictures-of-your-trading-stations.43661/page-20#post-717585 Then there were a couple of pages back and forth about the setup and about the legitimacy of it and Maestro produced 2 photos in front of it: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/pictures-of-your-trading-stations.43661/page-33#post-720368 https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/pictures-of-your-trading-stations.43661/page-33#post-720368 Really sad if that was not true. Looked really nice.
Damn. It looked real. I had no idea what he supposedly did with all those screens but I didn't question their authenticity. What made you look into it, apart from the apparent overkill?
Boredom. I like screwing with public-facing websites from people dumb enough to link them here. There was a pic of him sitting in front of the row of five and the identical shot showing the 5x5 (25 total).
but hey, besides the monitor thing, what about the ideas he was posting? Technical analysis 4.0 or was he really onto something? I would like to hear your opinion on that.
Jack Hersey had some interesting ideas. He had some devoted followers. Over the years there have been some entertaining characters here. The best pure trader I can recall was a guy called Seanote. Back in the old days when stock day trading was first catching on, this place was hopping with energy. My favorite was a small time prop trader named Hitman. He had a confrontation over TOS with Baron. Guess who won?
