I'm barely making it as it is. How will making me poorer help in any way?

I have the simple solution. The issue is that the bottom 99.5% do not have as much income or assets as the top .5 % are gathering in... right? so the obvious answer is cease taxing the 99.5% and progressively tax the top .5%.

Since the very top are largely tied to the Federal Reserves money spigot and own the politicians anyway... they can tax themselves to pay for all the spending they create.

in otherwords, a very high personal exemption. It would be interesting to see what that exemption would be. Maybe somebody know how much income you need to make the top .5%

lets start with an easy line. 1 milion a year or 10 million in assets other than your primary residence.

note... I am not in favor of any income taxes. but if we are trying to alter wealth disparity... that is what you would do. eliminate taxes on the lower end and increase them on the top . 0_ %.

if we took all Bill Gates money, yes, it would be a little rough on the kids in Africa waiting for a polio vaccine, but can you even imagine what good the federal government could do with 60 billion dollars? We could let all 400 plus members of congress decide how to divy it up and spend it for the greater good. His lifetime savings could last this country several weeks. We could even buy an F-35!
