The Bern Ultimatimum: 2020

Discussion in 'Politics' started by heisenbern, Jul 25, 2017.

  1. by the way...I agree that Bernie could've beat Trump in 2016. But that boat has set sail. Too many of his supporters jumped ship after he supported Hillary. Let's also not forget we'll have deported a lot of illegals by 2020 and hopefully have Voter ID established in all the states and it will be over for democrats. They'll never win another election. For all the talk about Trump being unpopular, he broke the blue wall. He freakin turned Michigan red for crying out loud! No way he loses in 2020.

  2. Republicans have been using race, even obsessed about race, in the form of dog whistles, for a long time to get the degenerates to vote for them, ie:

Hell even Dubya used race against McCain back when he (Bush) alluded to McCain fathering a black baby in the South Carolina contest.

Republicans don't have any plans or ideas for working class Americans, which is why the party relies on race to get votes from this demographic.

It appears Peil, along with his stupidity, has returned to this site.

Since The Southern strategy when they starting courting racist confederate state whites.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

In American politics, the southern strategy was a Republican Party electoral strategy to increase political support among white voters in the South by appealing to racism against African Americans. As the Civil Rights Movement and dismantling of Jim Crow laws in the 1950s and 1960s visibly deepened pre-existing racial tensions in much of the Southern United States, Republican politicians such as presidential candidate Richard Nixon and Senator Barry Goldwater developed strategies that successfully contributed to the political realignment of many white, conservative voters in the South to the Republican Party that had traditionally supported the Democratic Party.

He broke the blue wall by 78,000 votes against an unpopular candidate who barely campaigned in blue wall states.Don't count on that happening again in 2020

  5. Socialism is like a drug.

    1. Lots of people are sucked in by the "free stuff" promise of socialism... and the "it's not fair Joe's got more than you", whine.

    2. Scumbag politicos find offering free stuff for votes an easy platform to espouse in their effort to seek power and control.

Both are frailties of the human spirit.

Perhaps if we identified Socialism by its synonymous cousin's name (Communism) people might not be so quick to embrace it. ??

  6. "Draft Bernie" new party movement is gaining momentum. With the Democrats "Better Deal" platform, the anger is just going to grow.

  7. So are you finally admitting that Trump is more popular than Hillary since he won those states? :)

  9. Too bad few get that there is no such thing as "Socialist". There are Socialisms. As in PLURAL.

The United States is already on a Socialisms Spectrum. The real problem is that the educational system fails us in this country. We don't understand what it means.
