  2. Hello Businessman,

I understand what you mean. And I agree with you. Sometimes (days ,weeks, months) ES offer some nice easy days. Definitely not all the time. On those sometimes best to bet big.

I never tried day trading stocks before.

You need to think about turning that (5K) into 50K. Forget about 1M.

Start trading 3 to 5 MES lots and aim to reach 30 to 50MES lots as your profits grow towards 50K.

If you can't size up it will hard, but if you can size up it will be easier.

But you need an edge as well, i'm not sure if 'Click Click' is a real edge.

  4. Hello Businessman,

Your first answer makes the most sense. Wait for perfect market conditions and trade size.

You chose the right time to make your millions in ES during the 2008-2009 and 2020-2021 when market prices was 90 degree up and down intraday. I missed these years. Very good for you. Very good work you did and great idea.

    Thank you.

Also, I think you said a few weeks ago to buy low and sell high as well, right?

  5. Buy when price will (continue to) go up. Sell when price will (continue to) go down.

  6. Hello Businessman,

What was the margins in 2008 and 2020 during those great market conditions on ES?

I noticed in April my broker increase margins by 25% during the good market conditions. That effected my sizing. I did not like that.

  7. I do think there's some method to this. Getting a feel for the Market, then at worst scalping.

    But for how long?

You don't need to use huge leverage to make large profits when the ES is moving 100s of points per day.

So when the broker raises the margin it should not affect you. You should be trading smaller lot size in those markets but looking for larger point moves. In quieter markets look for smaller point moves but larger lot size. Assuming your account size is the same in both cases.

The difference will be the win rate will be higher when markets are good.

  9. scalping feels like chasing noise. One well-timed trade with real context usually beats a dozen quick clicks. Do you think your edge comes more from structure or sentiment?

  10. Scalping is surface level capture without realizing the Why and How of the depths below you. I suppose that method may capture you some fish, but it can only take you so far. You will never capture a shark or whale by that method. Or a Loch Ness Monster.

One well-timed trade is way more than a dozen quick clicks. Or even a year's worth of clicks.

Edge. I don't even know what that word really means. There's just simply Understanding and No Understanding or Foggy Understanding.

Understanding the market and your expectations for it...comes from a variety of elements and variables. Structure and sentiment are some of them. Before the opening bell rings...you have to draw up your generalized picture frame expectations for the road ahead, day ahead...and use that as a navigation map of when to loosely buy and close the position
