Sent packing to the north, where LBJ's Dem policies wrought total destruction on black families. Dems became Marxist with RINO's as their accomplices.
Please keep in mind that many conservatives from Confederate states did...and still do ...believe in slavery, confederacy, KKK, segregation, and White Nationalism.
Tony, You forget too easily. I already told you that many moons ago. Today, I will be more specific...about 36% of individuals that live in Southern states believe in the Confederacy...a confederacy that not only lost the civil war but a confederacy ideology that assassinated the 1st Republican President of America...a President that would be a Democrat in today's political environment. Just in case you're curious, the same confederacy ideology is believed by 23% of individuals in Northern states. Why so little in the South and so many in the North ??? It's simple..thanks to airplanes, trains, automobiles, and large corporations with offices all over America...it is very easy for individuals to migrate from one region to the next region. An analogy, a racist from a Southern state in America that moves to Vermont for a job opportunity or college...the person is still a racist living that now lives in the North and vice versa because of migration. Nearly one-quarter of Americans (23%) said they sympathized more with the Confederacy. Sympathy for the Confederacy was higher in the South (36%) than in the West (11%) or Northeast (13%). Simply, don't be brainwashed into believing just because someone live in the South...it's a person that believes in the Confederacy, KKK, White Nationalism, or White Supremacy. Seriously, it's only about 36%...not as much as you seem to believe. Regardless, it's still too many in America that believe in an ideology that undermines equality and a lot of them reside in the North. Seriously, the state of Illinois, California, and New York (the big three that are stronghold states for Democrats)...these three states have pockets of strong support for the Confederacy in suburbs and cities within each of those states. It's because of migration in the population. Another point I'm making after having the opportunity to live in Southern states and Northern states...most of the racism I saw against Blacks, Hispanic and Indigenous...it occurred in the Northern states although this is only from my perspective. Yet, I'm a strong believer to weed out racism...we must first be able to weed it out of the communities we live in. Seriously, review your own message post history involving racism...most of those stories involved racists in the North... My point, racism is everywhere in America...not as much as you believe it is in the South. wrbtrader
You're trying to change the narrative...that's the Confederate statues issue. Yet, if you want to go there...why only statues ? Why not change the names of streets, schools, military bases, businesses, foods, and names for children et cetera ??? wrbtrader
It does not change the fact...just 36% of individuals in the South. Another way to view this...not everybody believes in Trumpism. In fact, you yourself once hinted here at the forum that you would vote for Trump because Biden let you down. Comments by you about that seem out of character. wrbtrader
Confederacy and Confederate statues issue are the same.If you support one you support the other. We should change the names of streets, schools and military bases named after traitors who attacked America and killed more US troops than anyone else.
That's not the issue here. Actually, you have continue on that line in your "replies" when in fact I am talking about a completely different issue... Racism is in the North too...much more than you think. In fact, it lines up with some of the specific stories you've posted about involving crimes against minorities... It occurred in the North (e.g. George Floyd/Minnesota). Racism is everywhere...not just in the South. wrbtrader
