Democrats turn on each other in battle for soul of the party

“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton said days after the election concluded. “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

The backlash was swift as Democrats lined up to separate themselves from Moulton’s comments and cling closer to the policy he was trying to move away from.

Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Steve Kerrigan said Moulton’s words “do not represent the broad view of our party,” and a school system in Moulton’s district rejected his message “in the strongest possible terms.”

Reminds me of the SF/Oakland bay area progressives. Whenever their policies become unpopular or backfire they don't change tactics they just double or triple down on their stupidity. Middle America doesn't give a fuck about LGBT rights. So MA/NY/CA democrats will just double & triple down on it and again blame the racists of flyover America on why they lost.

Case in point the now recalled DA of Alameda County. She wanted to reduce or illiminate the sentences of black murders & robbers. She basically destroyed Oakland with her non-enforcement of the rule of law. You had franchises & restaurant leave since even if the police caught these criminals the DA wouldn't prosecute them anyway.

Apparently her response to the recall effort was it was being orchestrated by Republicans but in reality the general public had gotten tired of her idiocy. She was recalled in a landslide.

Every county in California voted more Republican & less Democrat. Unless the Democrats abandon their drivel, CA could soon be a Red state. I mean Texas used to have a Democratic Governor once upon a time. Florida was a Blue state once as well. Politics is cyclical.

I remember when Bernie used to say "Millionaires & Billionaires" in his speeches. Oops, so when he became a millionaire he excised that from his speeches.

US is a market based economy until a depression hits and the citizens vote for limited intervention. Only an economic collapse would turn US into Europe. FDR totally changed the US from Churches helping the poor to the government helping them.

His policies were never updated so Social Security was meant to be a minority of the elderly who were both poor & lived to 65. In 1933 very people lived past 65. If you used the same actuarial chart from 1933 most likely SS would be started at 75-80.

FDR also believed a government union was a conflict of interest since they would essentially vote twice. That's why you have massive pension liabilities in deep blue states like Illinois & NJ.

At this point they might as well recalibrate to become slavish laptops -- considering how well their plans went during the election. The only thing they demonstrated is that the far-left wing progressive values they have been pushing are out of touch with a large majority of Americans.

"The Democratic Party cannot win back the working class without first addressing its own structural decay. The party has grown too reliant on corporate donors, consultants, and top-down strategies that ignore the real needs of working people."

Progressives Have the Answers to Transform the Democratic Party
The Democratic Party cannot afford to continue losing its connection to the working class. Failing to respond with bold action, clear reforms, and a commitment to the priorities of working families will all but guarantee further electoral losses.
