    There is no need for the government to have debt. Private sector can borrow for themselves and put new money into the economy. Government is not to make capital investment into private sector business.

  3. If you look at the comments made by McCarthy himself, he does feel entitled to this job. It's mostly about how much money he's raised in our corrupt political system.

  4. Can the Democrats elect anybody who Trump can also get behind? It can't be one of the two to impeach him or anybody who's been mildly critical of him. It basically has to be somebody who mostly keeps their mouth shut and probably isn't that well known.

    Ah, but there were threats as well.

    They were threatened in a meeting that if they didn't vote for McCarthy they wouldn't be given any committee assignments, and McCarthy didn't disagree.

    So we know what the demands are, we just don't know what the threats are.
