    We’ll see. The biggest danger to America is obviously the debt ceiling. Government shutdown is one thing but default is galactic stupid.

    No matter what McCarthy promised, aside from committee assignments and chairs, rules need to be voted on and if there is no emergency off ramp for debt default in the rules package then I would be surprised if moderate Republicans will pass the package. However, you never know. Republicans are so gung ho to “save” America they’ll be glad to destroy it.

    Once again, The US will never default on it's debt. It's Constitutionally mandated to make debt payments.---And by the way, only a small portion of the government is ever shut down----not a big deal as they all end up getting paid.
