without a cite to a precedent or a law you are just wishing it to be true.. A senate trial is not relevant.... Swing and a miss... Uunder your scenerio, a president can rape an intern and simply resign and declare immunity. Also how do you have immunity for an unofficial act you have not been convicted for.. that is like saying you have immunity for any crimes you did not commit.... Strike 2
Founders never said a president is immune Strike 3 Founders created impeachment to remove a person from office, it is not a criminal trial How do you keep swinging and missing... Founders created checks and balances for a reason... Holy shit.....your social studies teacher is rolling over in their grave
Founders created impeachment and conviction to remove a president from office. The Constitution says that they can still be prosecuted subsequent to that.
This you?: MAGAtards: Dump can't be found guilty by the senate Also MAGAtards: Dump can't be found guilty by a court if not found guilty in the Senate.
A further point is that it's entirely possible that Trump's appeals to SCOTUS could be rejected given that the current make up of SCOTUS is 6 Liberals and 3 Conservatives.
I used to believe no one was this ignorant on purpose...but sometimes I forget about spectrum disorders and I should not make fun of him being on the spectrum so I should let it go..
Even though it was unconstitutional, he was acquitted in The Senate. Presidents must have immunity for official and unofficial acts during their presidency otherwise they will be forever concerned about retribution and this will affect their ability to govern effectively. This is includes presidents from all parties. Had Trump done something illegal, I would be the first one to say he should have been impeached, convicted and prosecuted.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, understands that these charges are being leveled simply to keep Trump from being president again and further exposing and debilitating The Deep State.
