In watching Rams/Browns this was the best game Rams played this year. One thing I will say about Browns great offense. Looked like Rams really wanted this game. Pats are incredible: While P. Manning is no doubt best QB in NFL you give T. Brady two good W/R(Moss & Stallworth) and its like B. Bonds on steroids: Brady turns into superman QB. WOW!!!! Pats only -5 vs Indy. No way brownsfan019 guy Pats will blow Colts out this weekend.
Anderson being a restricted free agent gives you the option to retain him, if you match any offer he gets. If a team wants him, they will structure the offer in a way to make it painful for you to match, particularly when you are already paying Brady. How about if we trade you Clinton Portis for him?
Is it just me or is Kornheiser the absolute worst announcer ever to grace the hallowed booth of Monday Night Football? I mean worse than O.J., Miller, any of them. Even worse that Theismann (just kidding AAA - I can't stand Theismann's announcing either, but he is many rungs above those mentioned).
Kornheiser is a smart guy who knows very little about sports, less actually than the average guy who played some high school ball. He is without doubt the worst ever on MNF. It is an outrage and an insult that he occupies the Howard Coselle chair.
Since we are not 100% sold on Jamal Lewis here (recurring injury...) I bet the Browns would entertain a RB offer or possibly some defensive help as well. It appears this offseason will be about the defense.
I couldn't believe it. I have Greg Jennings on my fantasy team and that catch/TD pushed me over to win. I was shocked. Favre still has it and it was on last night.
My advice is to resign Anderson to a long term deal as soon as possible and don't let him taste free agency. Like the Cowboys just did with Romo. Who knows if Quinn can play? Just based purely on past drafts, the odds are certainly no better than break even that he will be a decent NFL QB. If I were running the Redskins I would trade Portis for him in a second, but the Skins are in denial that he is no longer even an average NFL RB. The Browns would be crazy to trade Anderson for any RB. They can easily pick up a serviceable RB in the draft or free agency. No need to pay up either. Browns need to focus on their defense. I know drafting D linemen high didn't work out for them in the past, but they should keep trying.
Mike Wilbon, Kornheiser's partner on PTI, is out with a Washington Post piece today complaining that the Redskins are wimps because they didn't try to take out Brady after the Pats were running up the score on them. I have to agree. Certainly they had the chance to go after the backup QB, but they acted like they didn't want to hit him either. Belichick is a moron to be risking Brady in that kind of situation. It would serve the Pats right if he suffered a season ending injury while they were going for a 40 point lead. I've always thought Peyton Manning was the most annoying player in the league, and I've always been a Pats fan back to the days of Steve Grogan and Russ Francis, but I'll be rooting for the Colts this time.
