  2. I see your still refusing to answer the simple "hard" questions LOL :D

The arguments made in those links you provided are not compelling, and not well referenced. They cherry-pick their citations (when they actually bother to give any ;) carefully choosing only those that support their opinion. Also, they are trying to SELL me smthg (books, supps etc), for me that's a red flag.

We don't live a "hunter/gatherer lifestyle. The fat content of wild game back then was probably similar to our wild game today. Much less TOTAL fat and SAT FAT content than the commercially raised domestic beef, swine, etc today.

    Game meat, moose, cooked, roasted
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 134
    Total lipid (fat) g 0.97
    Cholesterol mg 78
    .97 x 9 =8.73 / 134 = 6.5 % calories from fat

    Game meat, elk, cooked, roasted
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 146
    Total lipid (fat) g 1.90
    Cholesterol mg 73
    1.9 x 9 = 17.1 / 146 = 11.7% Calories From fat

Game meat, bison, separable lean only, cooked, roasted
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 143
    Total lipid (fat) g 2.42
    Cholesterol mg 82
    2.42 x 9 21.78 / 143 = 15.2% calories from fat

Game meat, rabbit, wild, cooked, stewed
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 173
    Total lipid (fat) g 3.51
    Cholesterol mg 123
    3.51 x 9 = 31.59 / 173 = 18.26% calories from fat

    Game meat, squirrel, cooked, roasted
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 173
    Total lipid (fat) g 4.69
    Cholesterol mg 121
    4.69 x 9 = 42.21 / 173 = 24.3% Calories From Fat

    Compare the above with BEEF:

Beef, top sirloin, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 0" fat, all grades, cooked, broiled [Sirloin steak, Sirloin strip]
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 212
    Total lipid (fat) g 10
    10 X 9 = 90 / 212 = 42%
    Calories from Fat :D

Pork, fresh, loin, blade (chops), bone-in, separable lean and fat, cooked, braised
    Value per 100 grams
    Energy kcal 323
    Total lipid (fat) g 25
    25 X 9 = 225 / 323 = 70%
    Calories from Fat :D

Activity levels were also much much greater in prehistoric "hunter/gatherers" than YOU modern day "refrigerator bandits" :D

They actually had to spend all day running, walking, jumping, climbing for their meat. YOU drive to your steak, then sit on your azz for 2 hours LOL :D

  3. Not enough activity is good point for obesity, not for saturated fat cause heart disease. How much fat each people should eat is subjective for how much calories they need. No one number of grams for everyone.

  4. How much saturated fat is healthy (on avg)? Let's take 2000 claories for instance. How much saturated fat calories is needed? :D

  5. If you see in all the links, some people like Tokelau, Inuit, ,Masai, Japan, Greece... all have the high fat with no heart disease. But when the scientsists study and research for saturated fat for the USA in 1950, they did not include this. They blame saturated fat. So it is subjective to peoples activity AND how much junk food(hydrogenated oil/trans fat, sugar, flour) they start to eat in the modern world more likely.

  6. ps killthesunshine, I think all you say about vegetables and legumes and fruit is true. Very healthy and have so many good vitamins in them to fight disease. And to have meat too is good!
But if you feel good with legume and plant, ok.

  8. They are already way too busy working on all the masses of fatties pumping down carbs, sugars, and high fructose corn syrup (much of which contains mercury and scours the inside of blood veins which plaque then attaches to).

BTW, I can probably out run about any cardiac surgeon in town and I am 45......:D
