Blah... i was just going to go into how ridiculous it is for a full grown man to not eat any meat.... ... Your body needs that MEAT or watch your muscle mass go bye bye
what made you decide to be a vegetarian as opposed to a well balanced diet which includes many fruits and vegetables and zero to limited processed carbs (the culprit of todays health problems)?
Vegetarian Diets Can Help Prevent Chronic Diseases, American Dietetic Association Says Vegetarian diets are often associated with health advantages including lower blood cholesterol levels, lower risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure levels and lower risk of hypertension and type 2 diabetes, according to ADA's position. "Vegetarians tend to have a lower body mass index and lower overall cancer rates. Vegetarian diets tend to be lower in saturated fat and cholesterol and have higher levels of dietary fiber, magnesium and potassium, vitamins C and E, folate, carotenoids, flavonoids and other phytochemicals. These nutritional differences may explain some of the health advantages of those following a varied, balanced vegetarian diet." http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/07/090701103002.htm
The common sense and pratical advise would be eat more vegetables a little more fruit, eat less beef and factory chicken and cut down on processed foods and high sugar diets. Not everyone wants to turn their diet into a religion like killthesunshine. Moderation and common sense works.
Maybe vegetarians smoke less, drink less, and exercise more than meat eaters. That could be the difference.

"the investigators directly measured the formation of arterial plaque - and found two times more plaque in the arteries of animals that were fed the HPLC {high protein low carb) diet than in those that were fed the "atherosclerotic" Western diet" YOWSA!! i'm not really surprised More plaque when carbs (Plants) are deliberately reduced in a fatty diet than a fatty diet with ad lib veggies.
