When I have really bad revelations, I just think of ...After all man, it could really be that worse! So always look on the bright side! Gratitude for what we have, not what we don't have and all that jazz. Hehe. (Sorry for the crudeness, just trying to cheer you up. I feel your pain on that issue.)
Hahahahahaha, it definitely could be worse man, thx you brightened my day!, I always enjoy a good laugh when shit like this happens.
It was definitely a canadian thing, read the write up, only way they could have made it clearer is if they said they would send a moose and a beaver after me like Rocky and Bullwinkle if i dont pay the fucking bill.
Thx man, i appreciate it, and i appreciate your posts to this thread. I wasnt going to bother explaining this but now ive been asked a half a dozen times how this happened, and all i can say is this. I was destroying the market back then, i was making more than that every single month, i kept having accountants who looked at my tax bills and saying: "I cant believe you are only writing off like 12 thousand dollars." The thing is as a trader we can only really write off our internet part of our heat and water etc..... and you shouldnt write off your house, because then it fucks you on the taxes at the end, you cant write off your car, you cant write off much of anything as a stay at home trader, so when i came in with 300k of income, and 12k of writeoffs, they tried to figure out how to do a "reach around" Needless to say it didnt work, i hope i dont get anything beyond this year, because if they want to be ignorant cunts im sure they could find more. I played it straight up until this point, but then the accountants got more creative with shit, and most of it was probably borderline, i should have just paid the fucking bill while i had the money, im just super pissed at my own idiocy. That led accountants to getting cute, and it let me to getting cute, and it ended up HERE, since there is no way an accountant can get cute, and I KNOW im sure as fuck not cute, i probably shouldnt have tried to act cute. This was a bad proposition, i probably deserved this, but i sure as hell didnt deserve it 6 YEARS AFTER THE FACT. What im more scared of than anything is what comes next, if they start ripping me up year after year they can bankrupt me. I wont say exactly what happened here because it risks exposing other traders who i value dearly. All i will say is that as traders we have very few write offs, dont let some podunk idiot named "Hodor" tell you how he can save you money on taxes, this would have been 1 month back when it happened, probably way less, there was no reason for it to end up here, its on me, i take responsibility.
Sorry to change the topic from taxes. Has anyone tried shorting a stock that cancelled (postponed) it earnings call. The company is non standard commercial printing company EFII. It filed a document after market close today with SEC postponing earnings release. What if stock is halted?
Interesting. They didn't halt it but its trading down $15. Might be overdone. If it gains some momentum out of the gate jump on it long. I don't know enough about them, but at first glance they look like a solid company. https://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=efii Thanks for the heads up on this one. The company said it did not expect total revenue for the periods under review to be materially different from previously reported revenue. http://archive.fast-edgar.com//20170803/AI2VN22EZZ2RBTZZ279K2ZXLPESGZZ22Z292/
Well, the deeper I dig, this is a good company. Its not anything criminal, they just need to re-state when they realized revenue. The revenue's still there. No debt. EBITDA of 124M on 986M Hmph.... $29.50 now. Somebody doesn't like something. Might be a good buy.
That "legal investigation" headline by the Law Firm of Girrard Gibbs is getting all the wires. That law firm sues EVERYBODY. They probably have 10000 open cases on behalf of shareholders against various companies. Comical... thats all thats hitting the terminals. $28.50 and falling. Edit: Someone just bought 100K shares at $28. Follow the money.
