There are times in a Presidency where leadership challenges come to the forefront and demonstrate either the President is a great leader or a failure. Until 2020 Trump has not faced these type of inflection points - now two of them have arrived in an interval of months; COVID and the racial justice protests -- demonstrating that Trump is not a capable leader fit to serve a second term. If Trump had stepped up and provided proper leadership aligned with the best public health principles for COVID, he would have been a hero who overwhelming won his second term -- probably in both the EC and popular vote. The racial justice protests further served to underline his inability to lead.
