This is all bullshit and does not apply to extremely short term use of hydroxy - less than ten days- and in doses that are well below what is prescribed for lupus patients every day. Chloroquine and its derivatives were effective against malaria but malaria has largely become resistant to it. Nevertheless is still sold over the counter in lots of countries and lots of people are self-treating and taking massive doses for long, long periods in an attempt to overcome the malaria. That causes all sorts of problems in the long run and many of the severe side effects do apply to those scenarios. That does not mean it applies to smaller doses for very short periods. Again, hydroxy is prescribed every day for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis patients they are not experiencing those side effects AT ALL in reported numbers and they are taking hydroxy every day - and covid patient would just be taking it for less than ten days in small amounts. And in regard, to side effects because patients should not be taking it with some anti-depressants, this a prescription drug in this country, and that is why the fucking doctor is there to assess those factors. No one is suggesting that it be sold over the counter. As I have said many times before, my hopes around hydroxy are very bounded, I am not an evangelist on it but hope that it might provide a little edge. Not expecting and cure-all or any of that kind of thing, even though the tards will spin it that way later. But the scary arguments against getting it out there for wider use are bullshit. Some guy in africa buys it over the counter and takes 4000 mgs a day for two years to hold his malaria down and his kidneys take a beating so that is a barrier to prescribing it at 400 mgs a day under doctors supervision for less than ten days???? Ahhh no. Read up on the side effects, liver damage, and deaths from Tylenol. Also consider that for most people very short term use in small doses does not cause those problems, yet it is sold over the counter. Your dick is not going to fall off if you do not do something stupid and neither will it fall off with small dose hydroxy especially since it requires a prescription and the doctor has a duty to assess counter-indications.

Doctors have to prescribe, but there are some people who have pre-existing conditions where it doesn’t work, or they’re taking medication that’s not consistent with this treatment. But anecdotally its been positive. “We’ll have a full test once they have a large enough sample and data set,” he stated. The federal government had promised to increase the supply of the drug, which would allow New York to lift its 14-day limit on how much people could buy, according to the governor. “We’ve allowed usage of the hydroxychloroquine with the Zithromax packs in hospitals at their discretion. The federal government is going to increase the supply to New York pharmacies,” he explained. Monday, a Democrat state representative from Detroit, Michigan, credited the antimalarial drug and President Trump for saving her life during her recent battle with the coronavirus. ...
I would be OK if Trump did not appoint empty semen to his staff "This President will always put America first. He will always protect American citizens. We will not see diseases like [the virus] come here. We will not see terrorism come here, and isn't that refreshing when contrasting it with the awful presidency of President Obama." At the time McEnany said this, there were already 57 cases in the United States. That number has since ballooned to nearly 400,000 cases.
Trump announces he will deploy hundreds of scarce ventilators — to the United Kingdom At Tuesday’s coronavirus task force press briefing, President Donald Trump opened by discussing the allocation of ventilators, which are critical to taking care of patients with breathing problems. He suggested that he will start deploying ventilators overseas, to the United Kingdom. “We’re gonna work it out for them,” he said, suggesting that he will send over 200 ventilators.
