These threads almost always end in disaster. It's when traders feel the need to show the world the hubris they have in making a call that the market shows you just how futile that really is.
As long as you position sized properly, you can trade another day. Calculate how many trades your are willing to loose based on account size. If your willing to wager 10% of your total account, spread out among 5 trades, it comes down to 2% of total account on each trade. The setup dictates, your stop loss from entry. And your take profit point from entry.
Easy there turbo. It's just one trade. Tell you what, Ill start a journal and post live from here on out. Can i get you to do the same?
I've been running a thread for 7 years. Use the search function. Plenty of what you might call "live calls" although that is not the purpose of the thread.
Go to chartgame.com and sell tops/buy bottoms all you like. Make sure once you caught a good wave you try and hold onto it as much as possible. Targets have to be a multiple of your risk. Play that game every day for a month and you'll get amazeballs at being an average Joe trader.
It is a good game...Some of those charts (especially with the volume), you can get the feel for when we entered the big bad bear markets...the price action just gets very skittish...the great thing is you can just move onto the next chart of simply fast forward... It would be cool if we could do the same with some futures charts (intra-day)...obviously there is a playback feature, but the format of the game is great as is...would be a good add-on.
I actually dont typically pick tops and bottoms. I usually trade straight equities and noticed the 2026 level fit my criteria. The amount I risked on this trade was actually minimal to the amount I was up when I made the thread. I was thoroughly convinced to let it ride further and that it was going to be a significant selloff so that's why I created the thread. Not for some type of bragging right like Maverick implied. Obviously it didn't work out but I still consider this a great trade for me even though it was a loser. I feel terrible about possibly influencing heavenskrow into the position at probably a worse price than I was in. That wasnt my intention. I still wont be hesitant to reenter 2026 if another opportunity presents itself from below and I get another valid signal. Thanks Spectre2007 for the contribution. That is priceless advice you offered. There's only a handful of people willing to contribute that kind of advice on this forum. You certainly have my respect.
