madmunny, Congrats on the nice turn around from 5/17/06 to now. Hopefully you will continue to post to push others. Are you a liquidity trader or a position trader?
I´m from Catalonia ,and this is my firsty message in this forum. I´ve the qüestion of the million dollar; What is the best indicator for trade the market? And what indicators you use more freqüently? I see later
i forgot my favorite indicator are stockastic,in my opinios it´s a the best indicator in a no-tendence market, but the negative are in a strong trend are not a good reference. Good luck and enjoy your weekend
why so angry RNRBAND, I have never seen somebody post so many negative comments, did your parents not luv u when you were a kid. keep up the hating, its entertaining.
Not for nothing but you Swift guys that abuse the sh*t of the NYFIX needs to at least be very very grateful and be very humble about it. Not only did you guys cause NYFX to start going down the drain and on its way to a BK (as it got delisted from Naz to PinkSheets) but your abuses of it has made NYFX almost refuse access to Millenium to other daytrading firms. (Still trying to figure out how Genesis got through) So at least recognize that your "success" is mostly just being a privielege of being at the right place at the right time. I definitely gotta give props to whoever found Millenium, I just wish I found out about it before NYFX started turning down any firm they suspected of being a daytrading firm.. Just be grateful and don't let it blow your heads up if you don't wanna get flushed out of the game once NYFX is bankrupt.
Which prop firms got turned down ? All the big prop firms have NYFX access already. And about success being mostly a privilige of being at the right place at the right time: There are more and more people out there who know EXACTLY what is going on but have a hard time making consistently good money on it. Maybe it was easier in the past but believe me: it currently takes a lot more than just the knowledge of what's going on ... And as more and more people join in and NYFX itself gets more and more advanced, it will become harder and harder to make good money ... And it already is pretty hard, even if you know exactly what's going on ... So no, it's not a matter of 'just NYFX access' (anymore), you'll need skills (and HUGE balls )
all these guys can make 1-2k a day of your { and mine } basic scalping,, they earned there place,, they worked there way up,,its not pure arb, not free money,, its a skill , get over it husky and others , swifts will find,, { and have found } other tactics,, no ones going from big cash to no cash here,, thats too bad nyfix wouldn't let other firms in on it,, im sure the top nyfix swifts would love to steal your cash as you try and hit up this " easy money " as you call it,, take care and good whining to ya.
rjv27........i will do what ever it takes to put a couple quaters in my bank account. If i see an opportunity to credit trade or fag ticks out of sunw, jdsu or siri to make some cash...i will......if i see a stock trending day after day..i shall position trade...like when i shorted intc almost daily as it went on free fall from $25-$18.....and if i see an oportunity to miln arb (which by the way is funny name for it as there is nothing arbitrage about it 99% of the time) i will........ jack of all "trades".....master of none!!!!!!!!
2 years ago, HLV could not get it, Generic could not get. I know Assent, Echo nor Bright had it. Not sure about Hold or Genesis at the time. NYFX would give every firm & group manager the run around once they sensed that there were daytraders involved, HLV spent over a month trying to get access to it, with several ex-Swift traders asking for it. Now it does not matter much since NYFX is heading for BK judging from the headlines, earnings reports (or lack thereof) and stock action. So I guess they barely care as their attempts to prevent daytraders from ruining an ECN that was meant to be exclusively for institutions were fruitless. Seems like there are only scraps left to get picked up. And don't build up Millenium to some kind of esoteric edge. It's ECN arb, no different from catching CHX/PHLX/BSE/PCX/TRIN offering stock in the money. The opportunities are decreasing everyday but there are still firms and softwares that cannot hit those ECNs.
