Luckily, a lot of experienced traders have reached out to me in private threads. I'm super grateful for that. It happens in law as well where old-timers love helping younger lawyers learn the ropes. They do so without reservation and have never expected any compensation. I guess once you've "made it," then it makes it fun to share the experience with others. I see that trading could be a very lonely career if it weren't for forums like ET. As lawyers, we often get together to share ideas at our continuing legal education seminars. We talk about how to be better lawyers, marketing tips, working with difficult clients/judges/other lawyers, and how to deal with the stress of the law. I can see that ET is certainly the place to ask for help. There are some dang good traders on here, and I'd prefer to learn from the best. Thanks everyone who has helped me!
Agree. ET is a place to share trading war stories and view points without inhibition. It is also a place to seek help, though you got to have thick skin, be humble and learn how to read between the lines. I am thankful I got lots of help and I am happy to return the favor and share what I know. However, as an amateur retail without a track record and an unconventional view, I don't think you want my advice. Best wishes to you.
