Quit pontificating and start posting some trades. Has it ever occurred to you that if you can actually show that you can indeed trade successfully, most if not all of your detractors would STFU and go away?

Now let me tell you an interesting story about a guy I once knew. He was a poor guy. Never had anything to his name. No house, no car, no woman, nothing. Then one day he came to me and boasted that he's going out on a date and asked me if I could help him out with some dough. I said I would under one condition: that he rent a car for the night. Obviously, no respectable lady would enjoy going out on a date riding a public transportation. He kinda nodded his head and went his merry way. The next day, he comes to me and starts bitching about the night before and complains about women in general. From this I already knew what happened and politely asked whether he rented a car as I suggested. His reply was that he skipped on the car because he wanted to use that money for the next date.

I don't think it would make a difference, because the problem is not in his ability to make profitable trades. Anyone can for a string. And someone with a solid method can have a string of losers. Maybe even a bad month (happens to me).

I don't think Schizo's problem with padu is his ability (or inability) to trade successfully, (although that would be a great burden on padu, because of all his nonsensical BS about profitability), and waffling on proof, which is the exact same tack many others here take.

Schizo's problem, (and mine, and many others), is that he simply does not post his TRIES on it.

WHO THE FUCK CARES, after all we have been through since pre-Powell (2018) until now, if you are a net winner or loser? The most important bit is to show that we try, try, and try again.

We accept our foibles and fuck-ups, and transplant the burden from others (Financial advisors and gurus and whomever else) onto ourselves.

Watching live charts is important. As is looking at past charts. If all you do is watch charts live, your memory isn’t that great to recall many multiple examples of price behavior. You forget rather fast and your brain can meld memories in a way it finds convenient. That is why we look at past market data. It’s hard evidence.

This does not obviate the need to look at live market data, which is also important as we develop ideas. As a matter of fact I think it’s perfectly fine to experiment sometimes with trading ideas live (trading in small size, of course), just to get the creative stimulus going.

But here is a great quote from Bob Volman’s second book:

“…please recall that all of the foregoing can only offer a platform for further trader development. By and large, success as a trader will be a direct function of one’s willingness to study price action on hundreds if not thousands of charts, available at the push of a button in an decent charting package. For the evidence is clear: the markets are not particularly forgiving to those who take their education too lightly or deem themselves above it. But the odds are excellent for all parties who embrace a more diligent approach”

    Diligence, a key word here.

    ..and in his first book:

“…a trader’s education never stops. Even when taking a serious liking to the method offered in this book, the necessity of countless hours of studying, testing, and verifying on historical as well as current charts should be taken to heart.”

Jack Schwager said it wisely that “there are a million different ways to trade, but all of them are hard to find”. How do you deal with things that are difficult? Be diligent.

Hey Padu, where did you get those > USD200,000 in the first place if you’re an Indian living in India?

As far as I know, India is very poor country, and you don’t seem to be any good at running business, so where did you get the money from?

    A scammer?
    Selling drugs?
    Being a pimp?
A corrupt government bureaucrat taking bribes?
    Inheritance?

    I’m curious.

before i do that, do i have enough capital to trade?

for day trading i never have.

according to top step i have 50000 usd and i blow my account when i have a loss of 2000.

so it is an account 2000.usd.

now the pros say they risk one percent of their capital on a trade. so i can risk 20 usd.

    i am trading Emini

with one lot that means i can risk on any trade 1.5 ticks.

so top step is a joke and so is my trading.

no wonder i keep blowing accounts

if i trade the emini micro then i can have a stop of 4 points.

i do not think even that is enough.

that i managed to get funded more than 10 times is a miracle and points to my trading acumen.
But since it is the nature of trading that no one can win 100% of trades, it is 100% sure that i will blow my account, which is what topstep wants and is betting on.

what do i get from trading?. not money because logically that is impossible.

so i get to pass my time and dream that one day i will be a pro trader
