Exactly. Trump is kissing Un's ass according to your (little warped) assessment. Let's see who wins, we already know who you are rooting for...
Either way, we know who you are rooting for and if you had the opportunity to watch the video posted you would know what you are really rooting for. Hope you can well sleep tonight...
One of the possible benefits of lifting trade sanctions against North Korea and a new trade deal would be the potential benefits for the North Korean people. I hope a large part of the negotiations with North Korea is how the basic human needs of the North Korean people will be met. The past is gone. It appears we don't have viable options to force regime change due to risk of escalation involving nuclear weapons. We can talk about missed opportunities all we want, but a millitary based "solution" will kill innocent North and South Korean lives and put the US and Japan at risk of retaliation. We didn't take care of business during the North Korean War, we didn't take care of business when North Korea started their nuclear weapons program. Now we should take care of business with a nuclear armed North Korea? To be fair, China and Russia were participants in the Korean War before and it became too expensive to continue. Do we really have to try something again that was proven not to work in the past? It is what it is. We should give peace a chance and not characterize the willingness to negotiate as weakness. The last time we fought in Korea, casualties were high on both sides. Let's throw away the bad hand of war and deal ourselves a new hand in a new game called "peace".
If benefiting NK people was the objective then why all the facade? Why is Bolton and Trump insisting on Kim giving up the nukes which is not gonna happen and which means no deal?

If the Trump administration is steadfast in their demand for North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons, then a deal is not likely to happen. John Bolton may have some value in other areas, but I am concerned he may end up as a liability in this negotiation. I wish Trump would approach this as an honest attempt to make a new friend. Neither Trump or Kim are perfect, and should not expect perfection from the other. It would be best in my opinion to approach North Korea without conditions and see how things develope from there. As I've said or implied many times before, one will not make almost seventy years of mistrust go away in a single meeting. Trump and Kim need to spend quality time together to get to know each other, each other's culture, and countries. Kim should consider visiting the US as well. Although some feel Kim may be vulnerable outside North Korea, the potential historic impact of an successful outcome may make this possible risk worth it. My perception is that, even though North Korea may be suffering extreme hardship right now, is that time is on its side. With no NK deal and the US midterms coming up where the Republican's may lose the House, it seems unlikely the Trump administration and Republicans would risk political suicide with millitary action. Things can go wrong when you threaten the sovereignty of a nuclear power. In addition, as China power grows on a daily basis, the US influence becomes less relevant in that area of the world. How the US handles the North Korean situation will reflect on the character, intelligence, and effectiveness of our representatives. Although this does not sound promising and the Trump administration may not yet fully realize the world is transitioning from a US dominated narrative to a more representative based one, I hope through negotiations they realize the benefits of reaching an agreement far outweigh the apparent need to cling to the hubris of the past.
