Much of his base is furious, but will it last? The bought and paid for influencers have already received their marching orders and are circling the wagons trying to defend thet indefensible. I'm left to conclude there's only one reason to handle this situation in this manner. Trump is guilty of having sex with a minor and it's on video and or photos. No other reason, even covering for Israeli intelligence doesn't warrant this level of secrecy. And the Republicans on congress don't want to further investigate.
